Britney Spears Working Hard For Fit Body

Britney Spears loves her new slender figure - but admits she hates working out to stay in shape.
The Womanizer hitmaker, 27, has been wowing European fans on a recent mini-tour with her toned body and frantic dance routines.
She insists it has taken a huge effort to get back into shape following the births of sons Sean Preston, three; and Jayden James, two.
And Spears confesses she hates hitting the gym - and rarely gets a chance nowadays thanks to her music.
She tells Glamour magazine, "I have had to work hard at getting (my body) back to where it used to be. I used to be obsessed with working out. But I can't get motivated right now because I'm so focused on my music.
"It isn't fun, so to do it every day would be horrible. Three days a week is cool, even two. It makes me feel good and feel like I've done something. It's important to take care of your body.
"Recently I started to appreciate my body a bit more from before I had kids."

Britney Spears - Break The Ice (Official Music Video)

Britney Spears releases a music video on Wednesday that features the troubled singer as an animated superhero in a futuristic world.

The music video will premiere on Wednesday on dedicated Web site (www.BlackoutBall.com) at 6:30 p.m. EDT and accompanies her latest single "Break The Ice" -- the third from her 2007 album "Blackout."

The release of the video, along with an upcoming acting role on U.S. television comedy "How I Met Your Mother," marks something of a comeback for Spears, 26, whose career has been sidelined by psychiatric problems and months of bitter child custody battles.

Spears' Jive record company said the video was made in South Korea in Japanese anime style. Spears last year released two singles from the "Blackout" album which has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide but whose commercial success pales in comparison to the singer's heyday six years ago.

Britney Spears Turned Down Umbrella

Britney Spears was offered the chance to record Umbrella, before Rihanna made it a number one hit - but the pop princess turned it down. American music producer Tricky Stewart - who created the track - has confessed Spears was given first option on the song. He made the revelation to British singer/songwriter Taio Cruz.

Cruz says, "I was working with Tricky in his studio the day he finished Umbrella. As soon as I heard it I said, 'That is a smash, I have to have it,' but he told me it was on hold for Britney. "He waited but Britney's people never called him back."

Rihanna turned the song into a huge hit, holding the number one spot in the U.K. chart for a staggering 10 weeks.

Are You Ready For Britney's New Album?

A new Britney Spears song, 'Gimme More', is expected to be played on US radio stations next week.

Billboard reports that sources at Spears' record label Jive said that the up-tempo song would appear on the singer's new album, but it had not been decided whether it would be the lead single or just an album track.

'Gimme More' was produced by Timbaland collaborator Nate 'Danjahandz' Hills.

Spears' new album is expected before the end of the year.

There has been speculation that Spears will make an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas next month.
